The Best Parks in the World

Paris is a city made for children. There are gorgeous little parks for all ages EVERYWHERE. They are usually lined with bench seats that actually face the play equipment and are fenced and clean. London needs to take a trip to Paris and learn how to do this! Our kids are little (2 and 6) so they needed to have some fun, burn energy and let their little bodies run around at least twice a day in order to keep them happy while we wandered through the streets. This was easy in Paris. Everywhere you go there is a...

Top 5 Must See Sights in Paris

Paris is simply beautiful. There is a reason it is one of the most famous and visited cities in the world. Everywhere you turn you are confronted by historical sites, streets spilling with excitement, amazing food and beautiful style. Walking through Paris is simply a joy. The streets are wide and clean and easy to navigate. Each area is unique and has it’s own vibe. We loved it! Luckily Scott and I have already visited 3 times before. In fact we actually got engaged in Paris in 2004! This meant that we weren’t overly fussed about whether we went into all...

Walking Through Paris

After a bit of deliberation we bought a last minute ticket to Paris on the Eurostar.  I loved our time in London but was super keen to get to the land of croissants, cheese and wine! We took an early train into London Euston and went through the new terminal. Well done Eurostar! The train was fast, clean and got us...

Housesitting and the Wonderful Online World

This whole trip to Europe was a little last minute. We decided to go a month before we left and we didn’t really have a plan. I managed to rent out our Bali house to some friends I had made through an online travelling families group so the Bali side of things was fine, however we really weren’t sure where we were going beyond Cambodia. In fact we only had a oneway ticket into Cambodia until about a week before we left! We initially thought we would fly to Turkey and slowly make our way left (east) that was...

Things to Do With Kids in London

We took the kids to lots of different place in London but the three most popular ones were the Science museum, the Natural History Museum and a River Cruise. The Science Museum is located next to the Natural history museum in South Kensington (very close to the south side of Hyde Park) and has a fabulous inside “garden” for young kids. It is a hands on play area for little ones. The museum is excellent. It is really interesting, educational and the exhibits are great, however my favourite part was the basement garden as our kids played for hours...
